ADHD Double Feature: Women’s Hormonal Shifts and Aging Adult Experiences

OBJECTIVES

Review the hormonal impact on ADHD symptoms in females during PMS,
pregnancy, and perimenopause and discuss the cognitive challenges of
menopause in women with ADHD.
Identify and understand the array of symptoms and co-morbidities that are
often seen in older adults with ADHD and address diagnostic challenges in this
population.
Learn to formulate and apply age-specific management plans that take into
account both the psychological and physiological changes in later-life adults
with ADHD, including medication management.
Learn about specific diagnostic and management strategies in aging adults
with ADHD.
